Below you will find a collection of resources I have used to support the development of student reading and comprehension. Many of the learning experiences are scaffolded using thinking routines adapted from the work of Ron Ritchhart and templates from Sheena Cameron and Louise Dempsey. In Term 4 2017, we embarked on our first book club. Students were asked to form groups of 3-4 students with people they were going to be able to read, comprehend and discuss a text with. In Week 1, we visited the school library where groups needed to choose a text that matched the following criteria:
