THE ROUTINE IN ACTION

I have used this routine with students to examine and discuss information presented in a text. The discussion at the end becomes rich as the group deeply discuss and build connections between responses.

The example on the left was the reflection prompts given to colleagues at a staff meeting after trialing a number of thinking routines within their classrooms. This allowed for focused conversation where everyone's voice was heard and opinion respected.
